SLOPE USE
 

 

SNO!zone Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors and slope users engaging in our range of activities. These are of the utmost importance for the safety and enjoyment of all our customers and by making a booking with SNO!zone you are deemed to accept the following policies, terms and conditions. SNO!zone reserve the right for their employees to ask you to leave the slope if you do not abide to the details outlined. In such cases no refund will be given.

 

 

 

 

Customer service staff and slope patrol will be on duty at all times during your visit for your safety and convenience. Please ask a member of staff if you have any questions or concerns during your visit and they will be happy to help.
 
BOOKINGS
 
We advise that you use our advanced booking service at all times, to avoid disappointment. this can be done either in the centre, by calling 0871 222 5671 (lines are open daily from 9am-8pm) or online at www.snozoneuk.com (telephone bookings are subject to a booking fee). Calls will be charged at National Rate; 10p per minute. 
If you are late for your session, SNO!zone reserves the right to refuse admission to an activity, in this instance no refund or transfer will be given. 
We are often extremely busy during peak times, so if you are visiting at this time, please allow extra time for queuing.
Junior rates are applicable to children under 16 yrs of age. Those 16 yrs and over are charged at Adult rates. SNO!zone reserves the right to require proof of age.
For safety, an adult must accompany children under 10 yrs on the slope if using the slope recreationally.
All our rates include equipment hire (please refer to ‘Clothing & Equipment’ section).
If you need to cancel or alter your book, we require a minimum of 48 hrs notice, to allow refund or transfer and 10 days, in writing, for corporate, group and school bookings. Any transfers made within 48 hours notice period will be subject to availability and a fee will be incurred.
We require all recreational users to be of a minimum competency -– you should be able to control your speed, link your turns and use the poma/button lift. If you do not meet these standards you will be asked to leave the slopes, with no refund.
SNO!zone reserve the right to make changes to times, activities and prices at any time. 
 
CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT
 
All our prices include complimentary use of our skis & poles, snowboards, ski/board boots, toboggans, tubes and helmets, subject to availability, but you are welcome to bring your own ski/snowboard equipment if you prefer. There is no discount if you bring your own equipment.
For safety and comfort gloves, full length trousers and long sleeve tops must be worn at all times on the slope. We advise that you wear water proof jackets & trousers and if necesssary you can hire these from our Clothes Rental department. For hygiene reasons gloves and socks are available to purchase only, subject to availability. NB: Wellington boots are available to hire for tobogganing/ice slide as Ski/Board boots are not complimentary for tobogganing/ice slide sessions.
Head protection (CE Standard) is available from within the Rental Department at no extra cost and is recommended for all slope users. Helmets are compulsory for all people on lessons, tobogganing and tubing sessions unless excused upon medical grounds. Please contact a member of slope staff for more details. All under 16’s on any activity, all freestyle & mogul users and anyone involved in any type of racing or race training must wear a proper ski/snowboard approved helmet. This must fit correctly and must be fastened at all times.
 
SLOPE USE
 
WE RECOMMEND YOU ARRIVE 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SLOPE TIME IN ORDER TO GET CHANGED AND FITTED WITH EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOUR SESSION STARTS
 
Parts of the slope may be sectioned off at times for special events, tobogganing/ice slide or essential maintenance work. Please check before booking for up to date information on forthcoming activities or closures, details will also be on our website www.snozoneuk.com.
During peak times (high season, school holidays and busy sessions), you may often have to queue for lifts on the main slope.
For the safety of all our slope users, anyone wanting to enjoy the main recreational slope (for untutored use) must meet the Minimum Recreational Standard (control your speed, link your turns and be able to use a poma lift). If you do not meet this standard we recommend that you complete lessons from one of our qualified instructors before using the main slope. If you are unsure about your ability or have any questions regarding minimum standards please refer to the ticket sales desk or call your local centre for advice before booking. SNO!zone reserves the right to ask you to leave the slope if you book this activity and are deemed unable to meet the Minimum Recreation Standard.
To ensure the safety of all slope users, no-one other than our fully qualified SNO!zone instructors are permitted to teach on the dedicated lesson slope or main slope at any time.
Any customer using the freestyle park jumps, rails and ramps or moguls does so at their own risk and SNO!zone accept no responsibility for damage to equipment or clothing whilst undertaking these activities.
We provide lockers to store your personal items and valuables while you are on the slope.  Neither SNO!zone nor its employees or agents shall be responsible for any loss, theft or damage to valuables or any personal property that belongs to any visitor whilst on SNO!zone premises. 
In the absence of negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation, neither SNO!zone nor its employees/agents shall be responsible for the death, personal injury, illness of any customer or damage to equipment or clothing whilst on SNO!zone premises.
For the safety of our customers, SNO!zone reserves the right to ask any customer to leave the slope if we believe them to be under the influence of drink or drugs, behaving irresponsibly or endangering other slope users. In such cases no refund will be given.
 
CHILDREN
 
Junior rates are applicable to under 16’s only. Those of 16 years of age and over are charged at adult rates. SNO!zone reserves the right to request proof of age.
All children under 16 years of age must wear a helmet at all times when on the slope and must be accompanied by an adult at all times whilst on SNO!zone premises unless they are taking part in a supervised activity with a SNO!zone instructor/patroller or they are aged 10 – 15 years and meet the required Minimum Recreational Standards for (untutored) slope use.
Any accompanying adult must also meet this minimum standard to join them on the main slope or must remain on the premises for the duration of the visit.
Adults shall be held responsible for any damage caused by children they accompany whilst on SNO!zone premises.
 
SPECTATORS & PHOTOGRAPHY
 
Please note: there is NOT a dedicated spectator area on the slope. We advise all customers to spectate through the panoramic windows in the SNO!bar and café. SNO!zone accept no responsibility for spectators going onto the slope – and SNO!zone reserve the right to ask any spectators to leave the slope.
Photographic, video and other recording equipment must not be taken onto the slope. Photography within the SNO!zone area is only permitted with prior consent – please ask a member of staff for details/permission.
Please be advised that images are being monitored by CCTV for the purposes of crime prevention. In addition, we may record your images for advertising and or marketing purposes. The CCTV footage is controlled by SNO!zone and complies with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Images where you can be identified will not be used for advertising and or marketing purposes without consent or notification. It is sometimes the case that third parties including the press record images of events at SNO!zone, in such circumstances notices will be displayed to advise customers of any filming / photography to be carried out where your image may appear.
 
MEDICAL CONDITIONS/REQUIRMENTS
 
If you have an existing medical condition which you think may affect your safety/ the safety of others on the slope and/or your ability to meet the Minimum Standard please seek proper medical advice before visiting SNO!zone.
Please note that slope activities are not recommended for persons who have heart, back or neck conditions, or customers who are pregnant.
 
SNO!zone reserves the right to change the slope policies from time to time. Please read and observe the policy displayed in SNO!zone before you go on the slope as it may have changed since you last saw it.
